E 'legal to own a small monkey as a pet in California?

IDK. It would be nice to have a monkey as a pet, but I most curious and indeed serious. It just does not seem right, somehow, yaknow? Okay guys, just to clarify things, I do not own a monkey child and I'm not considering it. I was thinking about that monkey in Pirates of the Caribbean and I was wondering if maybe it was a pet of some animal trainer in Hollywood. Naturally not just to have a monkey as a pet. I was just curious.

CA is one of the strictest states for exotic animals as pets. Monkeys are illegal. If you buy one will be euthanasia. You can not have a monkey unless you are very educated about them. If you do not know what kind of monkey is in POC, of course do not know enough to care for one properly. Monkey is called a cappuccino. You can see is a coach, but I personally think they deserve to go to jail. Know that the monkey was sprayed with a bottle of water every 30 seconds, why not have a period of great attention enough? That's pretty cruel. By the way, why do you keep referring to it as a 'little monkey'. Baby monkeys remain children only for a very short period and then adults are aggressive. I 2 Capuchin monkeys, and I can tell you my personal experience that I have a little 'state, scratched, spanking, and' cried 'at. Is almost a daily basis. I get scratches from them every day. Are you willing to put up with that? My monkeys pull hair really too bad. Have seriously pulled handfuls of hair from my head before. It hurts! You can not teach them otherwise. It's just normal for them. Do you seriously think that the monkeys in the movies do not hurt their coaches? Newflash-they do! I receive e-mail every day from people asking me where you can buy a monkey because they want a child. Well, and when an adult?! It makes me so angry when people purchase monkeys and know nothing about how to take care of them. Did you know that 98% of alien species die within the first 2 years? Why? Because their owners do not care for them correctly. People buy monkeys for all time and a year after they are given to a sanctuary because their owners could not handle the bite more. Well what on earth did they expect?! They are wild animals. They act wild! Children are not a substitute. Not expect a baby! People also stuff in tiny cages where they have need lots and lots of space. Monkeys may suffer from depression if not treated properly. They pass back and forth for hours at a time, scratch until their hair falls out, and also inflict pain on themselves by chewing their arms and legs. Monkeys do this sometimes in captivity because they have enough of enrichment. They're bored! Do not be a of those owners! They also need to be in a 'troop'. You must have at least 2 monkeys. Otherwise, they will be depressed. Now, I'm not absolutely against owning monkeys as pets. I just HATE ignorant owners who do not care for them properly. You need to know everything about their care, feeding, housing, enrichment, behavior and breeding. If you decide to get what you need to learn all this in detail! Research is the key!
