Should I use a cotton pad with a normal mattress topper memory foam mattress?

Just got a new memory foam mattress topper and not sure if it will too hot and stuffy with no mattresses.

You want to buy a good quality mattress pad. Because the memory foam toppers increase the body temperature of 2-3 degrees at night. So you want something that will keep a good amount of distance off the foam itself. It could also groped a bed of feathers to go beyond the foam. Besides those are very comfortable and cozy. (like sleeping on a cloud)
