Clean up paint for children from carpet?

My daughter was painting with his seven pots of acrylic paint this morning. They are all together in a drawer. She had used her and left the blue cap. He tried to get another cap, could not, he got angry and slammed the tray difficult. Blue paint splattered long and wide. Painting over. The paint washed from hard surfaces and you. I worked in the carpet and use vinegar diluted with warm (not hot) for stubborn stains. A lot of dabbing with clean paper towels or toilet paper. Repeat several times until you have removed all the material to leave the carpet.
